Sid George
Sid brings his commanding keyboard skills to Almost Skynard, drawing from a rich musical journey that began in Washington D.C. nightclubs at the age of 16. Opting to pursue his musical career after completing his education in the early 1980s, Sid turned down scholarships from prestigious institutions like Berkeley and the Shenandoah Conservatory of Music in favor of settling on the Gulf Coast.
Throughout his career, Sid has entertained audiences numbering in the tens of thousands across the Southern United States. His experience spans significant roles such as keyboardist for Percy Sledge and engagements with regional acts throughout the Southeast. He has also opened for renowned headliners including Blake Shelton, Tracy Lawrence, Sugarland, Wet Willie, ARS, Kool and The Gang, among others. Sid's versatility extends to his studio work, where he has contributed to commercial jingles, radio and TV spots, as well as soundtracks and background music.
With a collaborative history that includes working alongside esteemed musicians and bands along the coast, Sid is celebrated for his high-energy piano performances, ensuring each show is an unforgettable experience.
